The Southwest monsoon is expected to withdraw from Telangana around its usual date of October 15. This forecast comes from A. Dharma Raju, a scientist at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Centre in Hyderabad.
According to the IMD scientist, many northern areas of the state are already seeing the monsoon rains recede, and the complete withdrawal process is anticipated to conclude within the next few days.
While some regions might still experience partly cloudy skies, temperatures throughout Telangana are gradually increasing. Currently, the highest temperature recorded this October is approximately 33°C, with minimums hovering around 32°C.
Hyderabad is projected to see maximum temperatures of about 32°C, but districts like Nalgonda and Suryapet could experience highs closer to 33°C.
Looking ahead, residents can expect a noticeable drop in temperatures during the last week of October, heralding the gradual onset of winter. This progression is in line with typical seasonal weather patterns for the month, making the current warmth entirely consistent with expectations.
