The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch comprehensive consumer outreach programs starting Thursday, September 25th. These initiatives, planned for district and assembly constituency levels, aim to inform the public about the advantages stemming from the recently implemented GST rate reductions.
During a meeting held at the State office on Wednesday, party president N. Ramchander Rao chaired discussions with newly appointed office bearers to finalize the detailed action plan for these campaigns.
Addressing the media afterwards, General Secretaries N. Gautam Rao and V. Ashok, along with official spokesperson N.V. Subash, conveyed that Mr. Rao underscored the Narendra Modi government’s “historic” decision to lower GST rates. This move, he emphasized, is designed to benefit a broad spectrum of society, from economically weaker sections and middle-class families to farmers, students, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The party president also outlined strategies for upcoming party programs and future objectives. He stressed the critical role of strengthening the organization and enhancing public outreach during the ongoing ‘Seva’ program, which runs until October 17 and focuses on community service throughout Telangana. Additionally, the party plans to organize special events in every district and constituency to champion indigenous initiatives under the ‘Swadeshi’ movement.
Discussions also touched upon the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-elections and the forthcoming local body elections. The party resolved to spotlight the state government’s “failures” in tackling public issues and delivering on its election promises. A key strategy involves launching grassroots awareness campaigns to inform citizens about the perceived “shortcomings” of the current Congress government and to galvanize public support.
Furthermore, a significant cultural event named ‘Mera Desh Pehle’ (My Nation First), which will highlight Prime Minister Modi’s life journey, is scheduled for September 30th at 6 p.m. in Hi-Tech City. This event is anticipated to attract more than 10,000 attendees, including numerous distinguished personalities. Organizational General Secretary Chandrasekhar and National Executive Member Garikapati Mohan Rao were also in attendance at the meeting.
