The Telangana government has recently made pivotal appointments aimed at strengthening the administration and ensuring effective delivery of public services. In a significant move, Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy has been appointed as an Advisor to the government, specifically tasked with overseeing the implementation of all key welfare and development schemes. This crucial role comes with the prestigious rank and status of a Cabinet Minister.
Adding to these strategic changes, MLA K. Prem Sagar Rao has been named the Chairman of the Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation, also receiving the esteemed status of a Cabinet Minister. These appointments underscore the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and responsiveness across vital sectors.
To support the newly appointed Advisor for welfare and development schemes, a dedicated unit will be established, led by an officer of Special Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, or Secretary rank. This unit will provide essential secretarial assistance and regularly brief the Cabinet on the progress and impact of various schemes, as outlined in the official government order issued on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Mr. Reddy’s responsibilities will include comprehensive reviews of scheme implementation, working closely with district Collectors, departmental Secretaries, and other relevant officials. Furthermore, he will receive residential accommodation and ministerial chambers at the secretariat, consistent with his Cabinet Minister status. The order also grants him special invitee status to all Cabinet meetings, ensuring his direct involvement in high-level decision-making.

With these new additions, the Telangana State government now boasts an advisory panel of eight individuals holding Cabinet Minister status. The existing advisors include Vem Narender Reddy, who advises the Chief Minister on Public Affairs; Mohammad Ali Shabbir, focusing on SC, ST, OBC, and Minorities Welfare; Harkara Venugopal Rao, handling Protocol and Public Relations; Aditya Nath Das, specializing in Irrigation and Water Resources; K.
