In an impressive display of efficiency, the Nandyal police successfully resolved the disappearance of two minor girls from Atmakur town, locating them in Hyderabad and reuniting them with their parents within a swift ten-hour timeframe.
The rapid investigation began on Monday afternoon when a distraught mother reported her 16-year-old daughter and 14-year-old niece missing. Superintendent of Police (SP) Suneel Sheoran stated that Atmakur police immediately acted on the complaint, using photographs provided by the family to scrutinize CCTV footage from the local bus stand.
Concurrently, law enforcement initiated extensive searches at key locations, including Kurnool and Dhone Town railway stations, leveraging assistance from local police.
Crucially, technical evidence quickly pinpointed the girls’ location at a bus stand in Hyderabad. Without delay, Atmakur police coordinated with residents of their town living in Hyderabad, urging them to proceed to the bus stand. Hyderabad police were also promptly informed, providing safe shelter for the girls at an outpost until the Atmakur team arrived. The girls were then safely escorted back and reunited with their overjoyed parents.
