Pune’s racing circuit was alive with energy this Wednesday morning (October 22nd) as a host of horses took to the track for their rigorous exercises. Among them, the magnificent Stormy Sea truly captured attention, delivering a performance that left onlookers impressed and excited for upcoming races.
On the Inner Sand Track:
The morning saw various horses put through their paces, demonstrating their fitness and potential:
600m: The two-year-olds, Snow Girl (guided by Hamir) and Fiero/Evelyn’s Dancer (ridden by an apprentice), completed their run with ease, clocking in at 42 seconds.
800m: Dyf (Santosh) demonstrated a smooth, uninhibited stride, finishing in 53 seconds overall and 40 for the last 600m. Turn And Burn (Ranjane) also showed good form, moving commendably with a time of 51 seconds, and 38 for the last 600m. Among the younger talents, the two-year-old Loyal Lover (Mustakim) outpaced Lightning Blaze (rb) by a clear four lengths, both completing the distance in 53 seconds (600m in 40). Similarly, Lucky Diamond (Mustakim), with a time of 52 seconds (600m in 39), was notably urged and finished two lengths ahead of Hilma Klint (Avinash).
1000m: Exciting (A. Prakash) and Marius (Ajinkya) ran in unison, finishing in 1 minute, 11 seconds, with their final 600m in 42 seconds. Willy Wonkaa (app) also had an easy workout, matching their time at 1 minute, 11 seconds (600m in 42).
1200m: Miss American Pie (Parmar) showed a nice, controlled pace, completing the distance in 1 minute, 22 seconds (1000m in 1-7, 800m in 52, 600m in 39). Rosario (A. Prakash) and Namiri (Umesh) moved effortlessly side-by-side, clocking 1 minute, 25 seconds (800m in 55, 600m in 40).
1400m: The highlight of the morning was Stormy Sea (Parmar), who delivered an exceptionally impressive run. Finishing in 1 minute, 34 seconds (1200m in 1-20, 1000m in 1-7, 800m in 54, 600m in 41), Stormy Sea left Jetfire (rb) far behind, with the latter losing ground significantly from the 600m mark.
