Star Horses Sparkle: Eagle Eye, Monteverdi, and More Dazzle in Morning Track Work

Wednesday morning’s track work in Bengaluru saw several equine stars put on a brilliant display, with horses like Eagle Eye, Monteverdi, Jersey King, Live The Dream, and Czar particularly catching the eye of observers. The training sessions, held on October 15th, offered a glimpse into the impressive form and potential of these magnificent athletes.

Inner Sand Track Highlights

1000m Drill:

  • Flight Of Fancy (R. Pradeep): Clocked an impressive 1-7.5, with the last 600m in 39.5, demonstrating a powerful and confident stride.

Outer Sand Track Highlights

600m Sprints:

  • Kazing (R. Pradeep): Showed good movement, finishing in 44.5.
  • Astrid (Rozario) & Panache (D. Patel): Both moved with noticeable ease, recording 46.
  • Sassy Sarah (J. Chinoy): Displayed effortless grace, also at 46.
  • Anigraha (rb) & Schoenberg (Hindu S): Concluded their runs neck and neck, both at 45.
  • Knotty Naughty (Rozario) & Quintus Arrius (D. Patel): Exhibited free and smooth movement, also clocking 45.
  • Whistling Glory (D. Patel) & Wave Of Wonder (Rozario): Whistling Glory pulled ahead, finishing three lengths in front with a time of 44.

1000m Workouts:

  • Flaming Sword (D. Patel): Looked to be in superb condition, completing the distance in 1-12.5, with the final 600m in 43.
  • Eagle Eye (Suraj): Moved with remarkable fluency, impressing with a time of 1-10.5, covering the last 600m in 41.5.
  • Czar (Antony): Delivered an outstanding performance, matching Eagle Eye’s time of 1-10.5, with a final 600m in 41.5.

1200m Trials:

  • Live The Dream (Antony): Worked effectively, finishing in 1-28 (1000m in 1-13, 600m in 43.5).
  • Amazing Attraction (Jagadeesh): Showed pleasing form, completing in 1-28 (1000m in 1-13, 600m in 46).
  • Skagen (P. Trevor): Stroked out well, recording 1-29 (1000m in 1-13.5, 600m in 44.5).
  • Jersey King (D. Patel): Put on an excellent display, clocking 1-29 (1000m in 1-11, 600m in 41.5), indicating strong preparation.

1400m Marathon:

  • Monteverdi (Hindu S): Executed a superb display, finishing in 1-39 (1200m in 1-24, 1000m in 1-11, 600m in 44).

1600m Long Runs:

  • Matisse (J. Chinoy): Moved effortlessly, completing the distance in 1-58 (1400m in 1-42, 1200m in 1-28, 1000m in 1-14.5, 600m in 45).
  • Red Bishop (P. Trevor): Appeared to be in peak physical condition, finishing in 1-58 (1400m in 1-42.5, 1200m in 1-28, 1000m in 1-14, 600m in 44).
