St. Philomena’s College, a venerable institution founded in 1946, recently marked its prestigious Oak Jubilee year with a magnificent event called INCEPTA 2025. This grand celebration, held on Friday, was a dual observance, honoring both the college’s significant jubilee milestone and its annual Establishment Day.
The festivities were graced by the presence of the newly appointed Bishop of Mysuru, Francis Serrao S.J., alongside Archbishop Emeritus Bernad Moras, who received a warm welcome.
Organized by the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell, the event embraced a unique triple theme. It beautifully showcased the institution’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence, innovative approaches, and deep-rooted community involvement.
The celebration itself was a vibrant tapestry weaving together cherished traditions and modern creativity. Highlights included ceremonial processions, captivating cultural performances, and the grand unveiling of the special Oak Jubilee logo. Principal Ravi J.D. Saldanha and Rector Lourdu Prasad Joseph emphasized that the event truly embodied the college’s spirit and values.
