The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has uncovered significant remote hacking attempts at several examination centers during the ongoing Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE). The commission has issued a stern warning, stating that severe criminal action will be taken against anyone found to be involved.
The CGLE 2025 commenced on September 12th and is scheduled to run until September 26th, with examinations being conducted nationwide across numerous centers.
To safeguard the integrity of these crucial computer-based exams, the SSC has implemented advanced digital security features. These systems are designed to meticulously monitor and record all activities occurring at every candidate’s workstation within each center.
A recent notice from the SSC highlighted that their robust digital security solutions have detected “remote takeover/system hacking attempts being made on certain candidates’ nodes at some of the centers.”
The commission is closely monitoring these suspicious activities. They have unequivocally stated that once the examination process concludes, all individuals implicated in such malpractices will face debarment based on concrete evidence and digital footprints. Furthermore, stringent criminal proceedings will be initiated against those involved, including any examination centers found to have facilitated these illicit acts. This warning was formalized in a notice dated September 17th.
In light of these developments, the SSC strongly advises all candidates to refrain from any form of malpractice. The commission reasserts its unwavering commitment to ensuring that all examinations are conducted with utmost fairness and transparency.
The CGLE stands as one of India’s most significant competitive examinations, drawing hundreds of thousands of aspiring individuals annually. It serves as a gateway for recruitment into various Group B and C positions within government departments, making its integrity paramount.
