The Pune horse training grounds buzzed with activity this Saturday, September 20, as several contenders underwent their morning exercises. Among them, two names truly captured attention: Lord Eric and Giacomo, both demonstrating impressive form.

In the 800-meter drill, Lord Eric, guided by N. Bhosale, showcased an exceptionally strong run, clocking a quick 48 seconds overall, with the final 600 meters completed in a sharp 36 seconds. His performance was undeniably commanding.
For the 1000-meter workout, Golden Degree, ridden by Pranil, moved effortlessly, finishing in 1 minute and 8 seconds. His sectional timings included 53 seconds for 800 meters and 40 seconds for 600 meters. In another notable 1000-meter session, Miracle Of Hanukah (Mosin) started a full four lengths behind Star Impact (Shubham) but surged forward to finish a length ahead. Their collective timing was 1 minute and 6 seconds, with 800 meters in 51 seconds and 600 meters in 38 seconds.
Giacomo, with Sandesh aboard for the 1200-meter exercise, proved he’s maintaining peak condition. He completed the distance in 1 minute and 20 seconds, with impressive splits of 1 minute and 5 seconds for 1000 meters, 51 seconds for 800 meters, and 38 seconds for 600 meters.
Over 1400 meters, Little John, ridden by Gore, responded admirably to his rider’s cues. His timings were 1 minute and 36 seconds for the full distance, with intermediate times of 1 minute and 22 seconds for 1200 meters, 1 minute and 8 seconds for 1000 meters, 54 seconds for 800 meters, and 42 seconds for 600 meters.
Finally, Duke Of Tuscany, steered by Kirtish, had an easy yet effective 1600-meter workout, finishing in 1 minute and 57 seconds. He passed the 1200-meter mark in 1 minute and 27 seconds, and the 600-meter mark in 43 seconds, indicating a smooth preparation.
