The Andhra Pradesh state government has implemented a significant reorganization within its police force, announcing the immediate transfer of 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. These directives were officially issued on Sunday.
The officers involved in this extensive reshuffle hold ranks such as Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Superintendent of Police (SP), and Additional SP. Many were previously awaiting new assignments and have now been deployed to various critical departments. Their new roles encompass key areas including general law enforcement and order, intelligence gathering, the EAGLE unit, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and other essential administrative branches within the state.
