A shocking incident unfolded in the KVB Puram ST Colony of Tirupati district on Sunday, October 5, 2025, where a middle-aged woman reportedly attacked her minor daughter. The alleged motive behind this heinous act was the mother’s desire to marry her own son-in-law.
Police reports indicate that B. Venkatamma, 40, had arranged the marriage of her 17-year-old daughter to M. Charan, 20, just three months prior. Disturbingly, Venkatamma then allegedly began an illicit relationship with Charan herself. When her daughter discovered this affair and their intention to marry, she strongly opposed it. In a fit of rage, Venkatamma brutally assaulted her daughter using a grinding stone.
Following the attack, family members quickly rushed the injured girl to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite attempts by certain community leaders to pressure authorities into dropping the charges, the KVB Puram police have registered a case, recognizing the minor’s victim status and the gravity of the alleged crime.
