In a significant leadership transition for Telangana’s vital emergency services, IPS officer Vikram Singh Mann, from the esteemed 1998 batch, officially took the helm on Monday as the new Director General of Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency, and Civil Defence. He steps into this crucial role following Y. Nagi Reddy.
Upon assuming his duties, Mr. Mann immediately engaged with the department’s senior officers, where he expressed his profound appreciation for their unwavering dedication and hard work.
His appointment comes after a distinguished three-year tenure as the Additional Commissioner of Police for Law and Order in Hyderabad City, experience that will undoubtedly prove invaluable in his new capacity.
In a related development, Mr. Y. Nagi Reddy, an IPS officer from the 1997 batch, has been transferred to serve as the new Managing Director for the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) in Hyderabad, succeeding V.C. Sajjanar.
