Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi has decisively declared his withdrawal from the race for the Chief Minister’s post.
Addressing journalists in Mysuru on Wednesday, Mr. Jarkiholi revealed that he had, in fact, opted out of contention for the top leadership role about a year ago.
When pressed about persistent media speculation regarding a ‘November revolution’ within the party, the Minister dismissed it entirely. He stated firmly that this issue is not being discussed internally and appears to be confined solely to media reports and comments from a select few.
Responding to questions about the demand for a Dalit Chief Minister, Mr. Jarkiholi acknowledged that this discussion is not new and has been a recurring theme. He clarified that while supporters of various leaders often voice such aspirations, the final decision ultimately rests with the party’s central leadership.
Regarding further conjectures about a leadership change, the Minister humbly stated that he was not the suitable individual to answer such queries, emphasizing that he does not hold the authority to speak on the matter.
