Ayush Badoni is all set to lead a robust 24-member Delhi squad into their first Ranji Trophy clash of the 2025-26 season. They will face Hyderabad at the NexGen Cricket Ground from October 15 to 18.
Adding to the excitement, talented batter Yash Dhull has been appointed vice-captain. A notable inclusion is left-handed batter Priyansh Arya, who has consistently shone in white-ball cricket and is now poised to make his long-awaited First-Class debut for Delhi.
Experienced all-rounder Nitish Rana, who recently returned to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh, also finds his place in the squad, bringing valuable depth and expertise.
However, star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant will miss the opening game as he continues his recovery from a foot injury sustained during the Test series against England. Sources suggest Pant is expected to make his return to competitive cricket in Delhi’s second Ranji fixture against Himachal Pradesh, commencing October 25.
