Trained by Prasanna Kumar, the magnificent Ravishing Beauty, with jockey Antony in the saddle, clinched the Mysore 1000 Guineas (1,600m), marking the first classic event of the season at the Mysore Race Club on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Antony showcased exceptional confidence, strategically positioning his filly in third or fourth place initially, then settling into sixth until the final bend. With a masterful maneuver, he guided Ravishing Beauty wide into the home stretch. The filly responded magnificently to every cue, unleashing a tremendous gallop to overtake the strong leader, Miracle Star, just 100 meters from the finish line, securing a resolute victory.

Venkatesh, Chairman & Senior Steward of Mysore Race Club Ltd, was on hand to present the coveted Mysore 1000 Guineas 2025 trophy to Debjani and Laavishka, who proudly represented Ravishing Beauty’s victorious owners. Also present at the ceremony were Dr. M.V. Venu (Committee Member), K.T. Balakrishna IPS (R) (Steward), Trainer Prasanna Kumar, and the winning jockey Antony Raj.

1. VALAROSA PLATE (2,000m): UNFORGETTABLE STAR (Suraj) claimed first, followed by Ceremonial (Antony) in second, Supreme Success (Vinod Shinde) in third, and Sundance Kid (R. Pradeep) in fourth. (Not run: Sapient). With margins of 3-3/4, 2-1/4, and 20 lengths, the race concluded in 2m 06.94s. Unforgettable Star was the favourite, owned by Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla and Mr. Adar C. 2. SON OF THE LIGHT PLATE (1,400m): MY LIFE MY RULES (Antony) triumphed, with Gentleman’s Word (Gautam Raj) in second, Warrior Woman (P. Ajeeth K) third, and Bundelkhand Queen (Varun) fourth. (Not run: Eye The Mind). The race saw margins of 1/2, 1, and Shd length, finishing in 1m 25.93s. My Life My Rules was the favourite, owned by Mr. Suchendra Bal Rajurs, M/s. Kites Network Pvt Ltd & Mr. B.N. Prakash Raj Urs, and trained by K. Aditya.
3. JAYANAGARA PLATE (1,200m): BALTIMORE (Asirvatham) secured victory, ahead of Sorrento Secret (Ankit Pal), Sunway Lagoon (A. Ramu), and Sheer Bliss (Pavan). The finish was tight with margins of 3/4, Nose, and 4-1/4 lengths, completing in 1m 11.88s. Baltimore was the favourite, owned by Mr. S. Thiruppathy, and trained by Azhar Ali.
4. MAJ. SARDAR L. MAHADEVAIAH MEMORIAL TROPHY (1,200m): FALCON FURY (S. Imran) took top honors, followed by Ocean (Antony), Sherouk (Mukesh K), and Natural Warrior (Ankit Pal). Winning by 2, Lnk, and 2-1/2 lengths, the race time was 1m 11.41s. Ocean was the favourite, owned by Col. Kuldeep Singh Garcha, and trained by J. Ganesh.

5. MYSORE 1000 GUINEAS (1,600m): RAVISHING BEAUTY (Win Legend – Masquenada) ridden by Antony, was the clear winner. Indian Brocade (Multitude – Anywaysmile) with Suraj came second, Miracle Star (Excellent Art – Romantic Star) with Sandesh placed third, and Fourth Wing (Sanus Per Aquam – Centrestage) with Trevor finished fourth. The winning margins were 3/4, 1-1/4, and 2-3/4 lengths, with a race time of 1m 34.86s. Miracle Star was the pre-race favourite. Ravishing Beauty is owned by Mr. K. Kaliyaperumal, M/s. 6. M.B. APPAYA MEMORIAL TROPHY (1,400m): CONFIDENT GAME (Vinod Shinde) triumphed, followed by Mazal Tov (Akshay K), Spectacular (Suhas K), and Kanya Rashi (Hindu S). The race finished with margins of 3/4, 1/2, and 1/2 length, in a time of 1m 23.05s. Power Of Beauty was the favourite. Confident Game is owned by Mr. Sunil Santhosh Serrao and trained by R. Helleal Moses.
7. HAVERI PLATE (1,200m): BORN DANCER (Shyam K) was the winner, with Court Jester (Faiz) in second, Moonlight Queen (Antony) in third, and Grace (Suhas K) in fourth. The race had wide margins of 7-1/2, Nk, and 3/4 length, completed in 1m 10.47s. Moonlight Queen was the favourite. Born Dancer is owned by Mr. Girish Byrappa and trained by Ranjeet Shinde.
