Spinner Ravi Bishnoi believes that the intense competition among India’s spin bowlers is a positive development for the national team’s future. Currently representing Gujarat in a Ranji Trophy match against Bengal, Bishnoi emphasized that having talented players like Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav all vying for spots in the T20 squad signifies the team’s healthy progress.
“This level of competition is excellent for Indian cricket,” Bishnoi stated, highlighting that such rivalry ensures the team is moving in the right direction. He expressed his eagerness to seize any opportunity to play for India again, hoping his fellow spinners perform exceptionally in the upcoming Australia T20 series.
Looking ahead, Bishnoi has his sights set on the T20 World Cup, which will be hosted on Indian soil next year. He sees it as a monumental opportunity for all Indian players. “There’s nothing better than playing and winning a World Cup at home,” he remarked, reiterating his determination to make the most of any chance to represent his country in the prestigious tournament. Bishnoi’s last appearance for India in a T20 International was against England in Mumbai back in February.
