During a recent rally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that Modi lacks the courage to challenge former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding his claims about mediating the India-Pakistan conflict.
Speaking to a large gathering in Nalanda, Bihar, Gandhi also highlighted pressing local issues, asserting that Bihar has unfortunately become known for rampant paper leaks in examinations and a crumbling health infrastructure.
Gandhi directly quoted Trump’s repeated assertions that the U.S. was instrumental in halting the conflict between India and Pakistan, emphasizing, “Our Prime Minister does not have the courage to confront him on this matter.”
The Congress leader further lambasted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, particularly over Shah’s remarks that “there is no land available in Bihar.” Gandhi countered this by alleging that prime land parcels were, in fact, illicitly handed over to powerful industrial houses by the state government at extremely low prices.
He continued his attack on the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), accusing them of forming the government through ‘vote theft’ in the last Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi claimed that both the NDA and the Prime Minister are determined to dismantle the Constitution, which was thoughtfully crafted by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Looking ahead, Gandhi pledged that if the INDIA bloc were to win power in Bihar, their government would champion the interests of farmers, laborers, Dalits, and all marginalized communities, ensuring equitable representation.
To cap off his promises, Rahul Gandhi also envisioned a future where Nalanda, an ancient seat of learning, would once again host “the world’s best university” under an INDIA bloc government.
