His remarks came during the closing ceremony of the 39th Annual Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2025), an event hosted by the Hyderabad Chapter of the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) in Begumpet. Telangana’s Digital Leap for Quality Governance
Echoing the sentiment that quality is fundamental to progress and public well-being, Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy affirmed the Telangana government’s strategic investments in digitization, real-time monitoring, and automation across all supply chains. This concerted effort aims to guarantee both efficiency and impeccable quality in all state projects.
Speaking at the same 39th annual convention of the QCFI-Hyderabad Chapter, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy underscored that quality serves as the guiding principle for governance in Telangana. He stressed the vital importance of maintaining rigorous standards in irrigation and food distribution, ensuring that public welfare programs reach citizens effectively, without any compromise in quality or risk of diversion.
The Minister pointed out that the structural integrity and design quality of critical projects like canals, pipelines, and reservoirs directly impact the livelihoods of farmers. He issued a warning that inadequate design or flawed execution of irrigation projects could severely impede water delivery for decades.
He proudly stated that Telangana’s comprehensive strategies concerning power, water management, agriculture, employment, skill development, and lake conservation have been meticulously crafted through extensive consultations with diverse segments of the population. ‘Quality is not merely a business imperative; it is a national necessity,’ he declared, emphasizing the transformative shifts occurring in the industrial landscape, driven by advancements in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and automation.
