In a significant inter-state exchange, S. Harbhajan Singh, Punjab’s Minister for Public Works, and Barinder Kumar Goyal, Minister for Water Resources, paid a courtesy visit to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the Secretariat in Chennai on Friday, October 17, 2025.
During their visit, the Punjab ministers extended a warm invitation to Chief Minister Stalin to attend the momentous 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Guru of Sikhism. This historic event is scheduled to take place in November at Anandpur Sahib, Punjab. Demonstrating keen interest in Tamil Nadu’s legislative processes, the visiting dignitaries also observed the ongoing Assembly proceedings from the esteemed gallery, where Speaker M. Appavu formally welcomed them.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Stalin had personally conveyed his birthday wishes to his Punjab counterpart, Bhagwant Mann, via a social media post, highlighting the cordial relations between the two states.
