In a significant late-night operation, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police successfully raided the Kalaburagi residence of social activist Divya Hagaragi on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, arresting her and six others on gambling charges. During the raid, authorities confiscated ₹42,000 in cash.
Ms. Hagaragi is widely known as a central figure in the infamous police sub-inspector (PSI) recruitment exam fraud case that first came to light in 2023.
The individuals apprehended alongside Divya Hagaragi include Raju Lengti, Shivasharnappa Mashal, Ravindra Mankar, Sangamesh Naganahalli, Mallinath Mangalagi, and Bhagwan Jakori. A formal case pertaining to these arrests has been registered at the Station Bazar police station.
