On Sunday, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami issued a crucial directive to his party members: actively engage with and supervise the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Tamil Nadu. This directive underscores the party’s commitment to ensuring accurate and comprehensive voter lists.
During a vital meeting held at the party headquarters in Chennai, attended by district-level functionaries, Palaniswami stressed the importance of timely reporting. He urged all attendees to regularly update the party leadership on the status and progress of the SIR exercise within their respective districts. A key agenda item during this gathering was also the strategic planning and implementation of training programs for booth-level agents, equipping them with the necessary skills to facilitate the revision effectively.
Earlier that same day, Palaniswami also presided over a separate meeting involving the party’s dynamic information technology wing. Prominent leaders such as AIADMK Deputy General Secretary K.P. Munusamy, Treasurer Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, Deputy General Secretary Natham R. Viswanathan, and Headquarters Secretary S.P. Velumani were present, signaling the comprehensive approach the party is taking towards this significant electoral undertaking.
