During a recent visit to the Shaikpet area on Friday, October 17, 2025, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi met with Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, who had just filed his nomination for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.
Addressing the media, Mr. Owaisi shared that he counselled Mr. Yadav to embrace an inclusive approach, ensuring the representation and engagement of all communities among the constituency’s more than 3.98 lakh voters. He emphasized that every ward within Jubilee Hills is grappling with various civic infrastructure challenges that demand urgent resolution.
The prominent Hyderabad parliamentarian reaffirmed his party’s decision not to participate in the by-election. He clarified that the by-election’s outcome would not significantly impact the stability of the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led Congress government, as the results are not expected to determine its rise or fall.
In a previous public address, Mr. Owaisi had encouraged constituents to make a thoughtful choice, advocating for the support of a youthful and locally rooted candidate.
He also renewed his criticism of the late Maganti Gopinath, the former legislator from Jubilee Hills. Owaisi asserted that despite the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) holding power for a decade, the constituency experienced minimal development, indicating a missed opportunity to significantly enhance civic amenities for its residents.
