Hyderabad Member of Parliament, Asaduddin Owaisi, recently voiced strong criticism regarding the differing treatment of public sentiments in India. Speaking on Thursday, October 2, 2025, the AIMIM president highlighted what he perceives as a blatant double standard by authorities: allowing expressions of “I Love Modi” while seemingly suppressing similar displays of affection for “I Love Muhammad.”
Owaisi underscored his point by questioning the nation’s identity and values. “What future do you envision for this country?” he asked passionately. “If I am Muslim, it is solely because of Muhammad sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam (Peace be upon him). There is nothing that precedes or follows this fundamental truth for me.”
Furthermore, Owaisi issued a stern warning to those supporting the reported lathi charge against Muslim demonstrators. He reminded them that law enforcement’s allegiance often shifts with changes in power. “Should you be out of power tomorrow, they will turn their force against you,” he asserted, recalling an incident where a former Chief Minister, N.T. Rama Rao, was reportedly manhandled by an officer he himself had appointed after losing power. “I have witnessed this firsthand,” Owaisi added.
The parliamentarian also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He pointed out that no RSS members were recorded as being martyred in the freedom struggle before the organization’s inception, adding that its founder, K.B. Hedgewar, allegedly attempted to recruit members even while imprisoned.
Despite his fervent critique, the AIMIM chief urged young people to avoid violence and uphold the law. He emphasized that any actions taken should strictly adhere to legal boundaries.
