A vital free medical camp recently brought healthcare access to approximately 700 residents in Ongole. Organized by the Dr. Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy Vikasit Bharat Trust (Dr. NSKC VBT) at QIS Engineering College on Monday, October 13, 2025, the initiative provided much-needed services to the community.
The camp catered to a diverse group of individuals, including drivers, laborers, teachers, and students. Attendees received comprehensive health screenings, including tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, heart conditions, and eye examinations. Additionally, free medicines valued at around ₹30,000 were distributed to those in need.
Dr. N. Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy, the Andhra Pradesh State BJP Cell Co-Convenor and founder of Dr. NSKC VBT, highlighted the collaborative spirit behind the event. He stated, “This medical camp was a joint effort with KIMS Hospitals and the NSS Wing of QIS Engineering College.”
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), which prioritizes sectors like education and healthcare, Dr. Chakravarthy expressed his motivation: “I organized this medical camp as my contribution to society, aligning with the Prime Minister’s significant reforms.”
Furthering their commitment, KIMS Hospital authorities announced a generous 50% discount on follow-up tests for camp attendees at their facility. Notable individuals present at the event included KIMS Hospital doctors Dr. Ramanjaneyulu and Dr. M. Varshita, alongside QIS Engineering College Principal Dr. Y.V. Hanumantha Rao.
