Indian Railways has confirmed the introduction of a special train service linking Belagavi and Bengaluru, catering to the rush expected during the upcoming Dasara holidays. This welcome development was announced by Lok Sabha member and former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar on Sunday.
The outbound special train, designated as Train No. 06221, is scheduled to depart from Belagavi at 8:55 PM on Sunday, arriving at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru by 8:30 AM on Monday. For the return journey, Train No. 06222 will leave Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal at 9:00 PM on the same Monday, reaching Belagavi at 6:50 AM on Tuesday.
In a public statement, Mr. Shettar expressed his gratitude to the railway authorities for responding positively to the public’s demand and facilitating this essential holiday service.
