A significant milestone was reached on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with the official formation of the National BC Reservation Struggle Coordination Joint Action Committee (JAC). This new alliance is set to lead a nationwide movement, advocating vigorously for crucial constitutional protection for the expanded 42% reservations designated for Backward Classes (BC).
During a pivotal meeting held in Hyderabad’s Kachiguda area, attended by prominent BC community leaders, energetic youth representatives, seasoned legal professionals, and dedicated social activists, Dundra Kumara Swamy, the president of National BC Dal, was unanimously elected as the JAC’s chairman. The committee plans to announce its complete national executive roster on Thursday, signalling its readiness to mobilize.
Mr. Kumara Swamy emphasized that this endeavor transcends mere politics, framing it instead as a profound struggle for dignity, equality, and fundamental self-respect for the BC community. “The JAC is committed to intensifying its efforts and will not rest until Backward Classes reservations are firmly enshrined with constitutional protection,” he declared. Furthermore, he voiced the JAC’s full endorsement of the upcoming Telangana State Bandh scheduled for October 18, urging all BC communities, intellectuals, women, professionals, and employees to participate in a unified display of solidarity.
