In a significant upgrade for emergency medical services, Chittoor’s Government General Hospital (GGH) is receiving a fleet of new ambulances, a move spearheaded by District Collector Sumit Kumar. This initiative aims to replace outdated vehicles, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care.
Collector Sumit Kumar officially inaugurated the first new ambulance for GGH on Tuesday, marking a crucial step towards modernizing the district’s healthcare infrastructure. This addition is just the beginning, as another ambulance is expected to be donated soon by IOCL under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Once both new vehicles are operational, the GGH will boast a total of four ambulances. These state-of-the-art emergency vehicles are set to be particularly vital for transporting patients in critical conditions to specialized hospitals in nearby cities like Vellore and Tirupati, drastically improving response times and patient outcomes during emergencies.
