The event was graced by prominent literary figures, including Kannada Sahitya Academy president L.N. Mukundaraj as the chief guest. Also in attendance were Kannada Book Authority chairman Manasa, administrative officer K.B. Kiran Singh, and dedicated sub-committee members Suchitra Hegde and Rajashekhara Kadamba, highlighting the importance of the festival to the regional literary scene.
A cherished tradition within the grand Mysuru Dasara celebrations, this year’s book festival has innovatively introduced daily book releases. Each morning at 11 a.m., fresh publications are formally launched, providing authors an unparalleled opportunity to connect with a diverse and enthusiastic readership.
Beyond the excitement of new titles, the festival buzzes with a variety of cultural programs, insightful seminars, and engaging interactive sessions. A particularly popular initiative, ‘Selfie with Authors,’ offers attendees a unique chance to meet their favorite writers and capture memorable moments.
Boasting nearly 90 vibrant stalls and a collection of approximately 50,000 books, the festival serves as a dynamic hub for writers, publishers, and avid book enthusiasts. Esteemed literary personalities frequently tour the stalls, fostering dialogue with readers and further igniting the festival’s vibrant literary atmosphere.
