Mysuru Railway Station has officially opened a brand-new nursing room, a thoughtful initiative under ‘Project Ayushman’. This marks a significant step towards providing better facilities for passengers, especially mothers traveling with infants.
This much-needed facility is conveniently located on Platform Number 2. It is meticulously designed to offer mothers and their young children a comfortable and private sanctuary, ensuring a stress-free environment for feeding, changing, and tending to their little ones. The addition significantly enhances the overall convenience and care options available to passengers at the station.
The inauguration ceremony saw the esteemed presence of Mysuru Member of Parliament, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who officially launched the facility. This project was made possible through a collaborative effort involving Ladies Circle India and Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108, highlighting community engagement in public service improvements.
Among the other dignitaries present were Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), and Shammas Hameed, Additional DRM. Railway authorities emphasized that this state-of-the-art nursing room promises a safe, hygienic, and calming environment, ensuring mothers can attend to their infants’ needs with ease and dignity while awaiting their trains. It reflects a commitment to prioritizing the comfort and well-being of all passengers, particularly families.
