This past Sunday, Mysuru vibrated with energy as the 15th annual ‘Celebration Mysuru’ run took over the city. The event garnered an enthusiastic response from the community, clearly demonstrating the soaring popularity of outdoor sports as a key component of a healthy lifestyle.
Organized by Life is Calling Sports, a renowned sports management company, this spectacular event welcomed participants from across Karnataka and various other regions of the country. Runners of all ages and abilities had a chance to shine, with categories including a challenging half-marathon and a 10K run for participants aged 16 and above, alongside a more accessible 5-km run/walk for those aged 11 and up.
Adding to the event’s prestige, Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar himself joined the participants. While the 21-km half-marathon and 10-km race offered a competitive arena for seasoned runners, the 5-km event was a joyous, non-competitive celebration of community and fitness.
The half-marathon route, winding through Mysuru’s bustling main thoroughfares and encompassing the scenic Mansagangotri campus, offered runners a unique perspective of the city’s charm.
