Reading Time: 5 min

In a breathtaking display of speed and strategy, trainer Prasanna Kumar’s exceptional filly, Mountain Jewel, galloped to a spectacular victory in the prestigious Race2win Foundation Hyderabad Deccan Derby (Grade 1). Ridden masterfully by jockey S. Antony Raj, the magnificent horse, co-owned by Mr. Rajendran representing Rapar’s Galloping Stars LLP and Mr. K. Kaliyaperumal, captivated audiences with her stunning performance.

Throughout the demanding 2000-meter course, Antony Raj expertly positioned Mountain Jewel, a daughter of Deauville and Kanchenjunga, towards the back of the pack. As the front-runners pushed a fierce pace, Mountain Jewel conserved her energy. But as the field swung into the final turn, she unleashed an “electrifying” burst of speed on the outside.
