The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is demanding an immediate and thorough investigation into significant alleged irregularities within Navi Mumbai’s voter registration process. A high-level delegation from the party recently met with both the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Returning Officer, formally requesting a probe into these serious concerns.
During their meeting on Friday (October 24, 2025), the MNS presented a detailed memorandum to the Belapur Returning Officer. This document outlined their claims, specifically highlighting the alarming presence of nearly 15,000 duplicate voter names and an additional 18,000 entries identified as potentially fake voters within the constituency’s electoral records.
MNS leader Gajanan Kale underscored the gravity of the situation on Saturday (October 25, 2025), drawing attention to previous remarks by BJP MLA Manda Mhatre, who had also publicly raised allegations of corruption impacting the voter registration process. Kale urged law enforcement to secure evidence directly from the legislator, accurately identify any officials involved in corrupt practices, initiate criminal proceedings against them, and carry out arrests to ensure full accountability.
