In a significant move to enforce traffic regulations, Miyapur traffic police, alongside Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs) from Kondapur, conducted a special enforcement drive on Monday. This operation at Allwyn X Road resulted in the seizure of 44 autorickshaws found to be operating with various permit and fitness violations.
The meticulously planned operation was overseen by the Station House Officer of Miyapur Traffic and involved a dedicated team from MVI Kondapur and AMVI. Their primary focus was on verifying the validity of autorickshaw permits, checking fitness certificates, and scrutinizing vehicles with out-of-district registrations to ensure all were compliant with local rules.
Authorities stated that this concerted effort underscores their commitment to upholding transport regulations and, most importantly, enhancing passenger safety across the region. Autorickshaws discovered to be operating without the necessary valid documents or in contravention of established norms were promptly impounded, and legal proceedings are now underway against the offenders.
