The Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) is celebrating a remarkable achievement, having secured four prestigious State-level honors at the recent Swachh Andhra Awards! This impressive haul includes the coveted Best Social Media Management Award, recognizing MEPMA’s outstanding efforts in digital communication.
Outshining 18 other government departments, MEPMA truly excelled with its captivating campaigns, innovative content creation, consistent online presence, and dedicated promotion of Swachh Andhra initiatives. Their dynamic approach clearly resonated, establishing them as a leader in public engagement.
But the accolades don’t stop there. Three of MEPMA’s vital Slum Level Federations (SLFs) from Prakasam, Srikakulam, and Visakhapatnam districts also earned State-level recognition in the Terrace Garden and Home Compost categories. This highlights the mission’s deep and expanding positive influence at the community level, fostering sustainable urban environmental practices right where they matter most.
The official award ceremony is set for Monday, October 6, at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. The esteemed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu himself will present the Best Social Media Management Award to MEPMA Mission Director N. Tej Bharath, marking a proud moment for the organization.
In a heartfelt statement released on Saturday, Mr. Tej Bharath expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging the invaluable guidance from Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P. Narayana and the meticulous oversight of Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar. He graciously dedicated these achievements to the tireless MEPMA team and the thousands of Urban Self-Help Groups whose unwavering commitment and hard work made these successes a vibrant reality.
