Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam, accompanied by his wife Veena Ramgoolam, made a significant spiritual visit to the revered hill temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Monday, where they offered their heartfelt prayers.
Upon their arrival at the sprawling main temple complex, the distinguished couple was greeted with a warm and traditional reception. Prominent officials, including Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, and Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, personally escorted the Prime Minister and his wife to the sanctum sanctorum. There, they stood reverently before the presiding deity, Lord Venkateswara, expressing their deep devotion and offering obeisances.
Following their prayers, Vedic scholars performed sacred rituals, bestowing ‘Vedasirvachanams’ (Vedic blessings) upon the Prime Minister and his entourage at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. The temple authorities then presented them with ‘thirtham’ (holy water) and ‘laddu prasadams’ (sweet offerings), marking the conclusion of their auspicious pilgrimage.
