A significant fire broke out at a factory situated close to Tirupati airport on Thursday morning, September 18th. The exact cause of this incident is still unknown and under investigation.
The blaze ripped through Munoth Industries, a facility located within the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in Tirupati district’s Renigunta mandal. This factory specializes in producing lithium-ion batteries for various consumer electronics.
Local residents, upon noticing the intense flames that morning, promptly alerted the fire services. In response, six fire tenders were swiftly dispatched to the scene, where they successfully managed to bring the inferno under control.
While authorities confirmed that there were no human casualties, the fire unfortunately resulted in substantial property damage, with losses estimated to be in the crores of rupees.
