In a significant development, Nandyal police have successfully apprehended one individual and taken a minor into custody in connection with the theft of numerous electronic devices from a storeroom within Nandyal town.
The audacious theft occurred just a few days prior, targeting a storage facility conveniently located next to the Deputy Education Officer’s office, right within the Nandyal I Town police station jurisdiction. The culprits managed to make off with 90 Personalised Adaptive Learning (PAL) tablets, intended for distribution to government school children, along with 60 adaptors, 150 OTG cables, and other essential equipment. Assistant Statistical Officer B. Dastagiri Reddy from the A.P. Samagra Shiksha office promptly reported the crime, initiating a swift police investigation.
Assistant Superintendent of Police M. Javali confirmed that the operation led to the arrest of Sk. Hussain Vali and the apprehension of a minor. Crucially, law enforcement officers recovered a substantial portion of the stolen goods, including 77 PAL tabs, 60 adaptors, various cables, and other items, with an estimated total value of ₹6.93 lakh.
