On Saturday, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the immense sacrifices made by various esteemed leaders who were instrumental in shaping Tamil Nadu’s current geographical borders, particularly ensuring the integration of numerous crucial border areas into the state.
Through a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister honored figures like Marshal Nesamony, Ma.Po. Sivagnanam, and other pioneers for their unwavering dedication in securing these vital territories for Tamil Nadu. He eloquently stated, “Our forebears demonstrated that a failure to stand firm would result in the loss of not only our land but also our fundamental democratic rights. We must continue to uphold Tamil Nadu’s rights by walking in their footsteps.”
In a separate social media tribute, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay also commemorated the sacrifices of the leaders who fought passionately for the establishment and naming of Tamil Nadu. He conveyed his vision, remarking, “With the collective strength of our people, we are committed to liberating Tamil Nadu from the clutches of the anti-people DMK and establishing a truly representative government in 2026. May the rich heritage of the Tamil language and the glorious spirit of Tamil Nadu echo globally.”
