This report confirms the astonishing survival of 23 passengers, many of whom are currently receiving medical attention, while others emerged unscathed. Furthermore, a remarkable twist emerged with the story of Tarun (27), who had the foresight to cancel his journey just before boarding the ill-fated bus.
Here is the list of passengers who either escaped with minor injuries or are currently undergoing treatment:
- Manempally Satyaranayana (27) from Sathupally, Khammam, is undergoing treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool.
- Badanthra Jaya Surya (24) from Miyapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, is also undergoing treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool.
- Andoj Naveen Kumar (26) from Hayatnagar, Hyderabad, is undergoing treatment.
- Saraswati Harika (30) from Bengaluru, is receiving treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool.
- Nelakurthi Ramesh (36) from Dataluru Mandal, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, sustained minor injuries and is reported safe.
- Srilakshmi (Nelakurthi Ramesh’s wife), Jaswitha (8), and Abhira (1 year 8 months) are all safe and with family members in Kurnool.
- Kapar Ashok (27), from Telangana, is safe and has proceeded to Hyderabad.
- Musaluri Sriharsha (25), from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at Kurnool GGH.
- Punupatti Keethi (28), from S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, has been discharged and has returned to Hyderabad.
- Venugopal Reddy (24), from Telangana, reached Hyderabad after receiving treatment.
- M.G. Ramreddy, from East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, reached Hyderabad after receiving treatment.
- Ashwin Reddy was not injured and remains safe at the accident site.
- Aakash was not injured and is safe.
- Jayant Kushal, from Madhya Pradesh, who works in Hyderabad, is safe.
- Pankaj Prajapati was not injured and is safe.
- Guna Sai, from East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, sustained minor injuries and is undergoing treatment.
- Shiva was not injured and has reached Bengaluru.
- Gloria Elsa Sam was not injured and has reached Bengaluru.
- Charith (21), from Bengaluru, is safe and has reached Bengaluru.
- Mohammed Khizer (51), from Bengaluru, is safe and has reached Bengaluru.
- Gantasala Subramayam (36), from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, is undergoing treatment at Aakash Hospital.
The district administration also provided details regarding the bus drivers involved:
- Lakshmaiah, from Palnadu district, who was at the wheel when the accident occurred, is currently absconding from the scene.
- Shivanarayana, from Prakasam district, the spare driver, is currently in police custody.
