In a concerning incident that unfolded in Ottapalam, a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus conductor was detained on Saturday, October 11, 2025. This action followed a formal complaint of misconduct lodged by a female passenger.
The complainant, a student traveling from Guruvayur, alleged that she was harassed by the conductor of the KSRTC bus on Friday night, October 10, 2025. The bus was operating on the Coimbatore to Guruvayur route at the time of the alleged incident.
According to the student’s statement, the conductor sat beside her and behaved inappropriately as the bus reached the East Ottapalam area.
Local police authorities have confirmed the arrest and stated that the conductor is currently undergoing questioning as part of their ongoing investigation into the matter.
