In a significant crackdown on local crime, police in Kovur town, SPSR Nellore district, recently arrested three members of a gang specializing in two-wheeler thefts. Authorities successfully recovered 10 stolen motorcycles, including several high-end models, with an estimated total value of nearly ₹9 lakh.
Kovur Circle Inspector Sudhakar Reddy informed the media that the gang’s activities came to light following the interrogation of one of the arrested youths, Sagar. Sagar was initially detained after he was caught performing reckless bike stunts on NH-16 just days prior.
According to the police report, the night patrolling team intervened when Sagar was found causing a public disturbance with his stunts on the highway. Upon his arrest and subsequent questioning, a series of surprising revelations unfolded.
