Dr. R.S. Jayasree, a leading Scientist ‘G’ within the Division of Biophotonics and Imaging at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), has achieved a significant milestone by being chosen for the highly coveted “Women in Medicine” Award 2025. This esteemed accolade is presented by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, operating under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
In a notable first, this prestigious award, which celebrates women who have made exceptional contributions across the fields of medical and biomedical sciences, is being bestowed upon a native of Kerala, as confirmed in an official announcement from SCTIMST.
The award ceremony is scheduled for November 8, coinciding with the convocation event at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh.
