Kerala’s dynamic food processing sector made a significant impact at World Food India 2025, the premier global exhibition for the industry. Spearheaded by the State’s Industries and Commerce Department, in collaboration with the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (KBIP), the Kerala pavilion proudly showcased the region’s rich culinary heritage and its innovative range of value-added food products.
The four-day international event, held from September 25 to 28, successfully attracted participants from over 90 countries, highlighting its immense global reach and importance.
The pavilion was officially inaugurated by M.A. Yusuff Ali, the esteemed vice-chairman of NORKA and chairman of LuLu Group International. During his address, Mr. Ali lauded Kerala’s growing influence and progressive strides within the global food processing market. A key highlight of the Kerala contingent was the representation of 24 promising Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Their participation underscores Kerala’s deliberate strategy to foster and empower local entrepreneurship. These businesses presented a compelling blend of traditional flavors and cutting-edge processing techniques, garnering considerable interest from a wide array of national and international buyers and prominent industry leaders, according to a recent press release.
