In a significant development, the Taliparamba police have initiated legal proceedings against two individuals implicated in a serious visa fraud case. They are accused of extorting a substantial sum of ₹4.33 lakh from a young man hailing from Pattuvam. The alleged culprits have been identified as Pradeesh Bharathan, from Charpa in Thrissur, and Hebin Sajan, from Wayanad.
The charges stem from a formal complaint lodged by V.G. Jibin, a resident of Velamparakkal, Mangalassery, in Pattuvam. According to Jibin’s detailed complaint, Bharathan had allegedly assured him a coveted job opportunity in Spain. Under the guise of processing the necessary visa, Bharathan reportedly collected a hefty amount of ₹4.33 lakh from Jibin.
Tragically, this promise turned into a nightmare when Jibin found himself incarcerated in Spain after local authorities discovered that the visa provided was entirely counterfeit. The Taliparamba police are now intensifying their investigation into this elaborate visa fraud, seeking to uncover the full extent of the operation and bring all responsible parties to justice.
