KARIMNAGAR
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi, has declared a noticeable political void in the State. She announced that Telangana Jagruthi would unveil its comprehensive action plan once the ongoing ‘Jagruthi Janam Bata’ tour concludes.
Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Saturday, Kavitha emphasized that Telangana Jagruthi aims to be the authentic voice of the people, dedicated to resolving their challenges. She affirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering a ‘Samajika Telangana’ (Social Telangana) and advocating for an increased reservation quota for Backward Classes (BCs) in local governance.
Kavitha pointed out that while major political parties are engrossed in campaigning for the Jubilee Hills by-election, critical issues are being ignored. She highlighted the unattended plight of farmers affected by the Montha cyclone and residents of rain-devastated Warangal.
Critiquing both the BJP and BRS, she stated, “Both parties have neglected the severe distress of the cyclone-affected farmers.” She pledged that Telangana Jagruthi would actively advocate for these struggling farmers.
In response to a query, Kavitha mentioned her intention to request the Assembly Speaker to accept her resignation from the MLC post. Addressing another concern, she stressed the urgent need to protect Telangana’s valuable mineral resources from the illicit activities of the granite mafia. She also drew attention to the severely deteriorated road conditions in Manakondur and Huzurabad, noting the significant dust pollution along the Karimnagar-Vemulawada main road.
“We are determined to fight against the granite mafia,” Kavitha affirmed, proposing that the revenue generated from legitimate granite mining operations should be allocated directly towards the development of the district.
