To give Kalaburagi’s urban transport a much-needed boost, Priyank Kharge, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, and IT & BT — and also the district’s Minister in charge — recently convened a crucial review meeting with top officials in Bengaluru. The central topic was the ambitious plan to construct a cutting-edge satellite bus terminal within Kalaburagi city.
Minister Kharge highlighted that this modern, well-equipped bus station is vital for easing traffic congestion and accommodating the city’s rapid development. He confirmed that several potential sites have already been pinpointed, and officials have been instructed to swiftly present detailed proposals for the most ideal location.
Kharge emphasized his vision for the project, stating, “This proposed satellite bus terminal is set to significantly accelerate Kalaburagi’s growth, cementing its status as a key urban hub in the Kalyana Karnataka region.”
Key attendees at this important session included Kalaburagi South MLA Allamprabhu Patil, Higher Education Department Secretary Khushboo Goyal Choudhary, and senior representatives from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry departments, alongside the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC).
