On Friday, September 19, 2025, addressing the Defence East Tech symposium in Ranchi, CM Soren underscored Jharkhand’s rich endowment of uranium, a vital element for nuclear weapon production.
During his address, Mr. Soren affirmed his government’s full commitment to collaborate with the Central government, aiming to advance India’s self-reliance in the crucial defence sector. He specifically stated, “Jharkhand is endowed with uranium and can contribute to nuclear weapon manufacturing. The State Government is ready to cooperate fully with the Centre to make the defence sector self-reliant.”
