Esteemed author Banu Mushtaq, an International Booker Prize laureate, recently embarked on a heartwarming visit to the revered Hasanamba Temple in Hassan, accompanied by her family. The district administration graciously facilitated their journey to the sacred site, arranging a special vehicle to transport them from the Inspection Bungalow.
Addressing members of the press, Ms. Mushtaq warmly recounted her deep-rooted connection to the temple, having frequented it since her earliest childhood days, often alongside her mother. She highlighted the temple’s inclusive spirit, noting, “I have witnessed numerous Muslim individuals actively participating in the festival. To me, this temple stands as a vibrant hub of harmony, a powerful emblem of friendship, profound love, and peaceful coexistence.”
