During the inauguration of a leadership training camp organized by the All India Professional Congress (AIPC) district committee on Sunday, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary P.V. Mohanan delivered a stirring call to action. He passionately urged the youth to leverage their influence and positions to uplift and empower others, stressing that true authority lies in dedicating oneself to public service.
The camp, aptly named YUVA (Young United Visionaries in Action), saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 150 young professionals hailing from various regions including Palakkad, Chittur, Nenmara, Malampuzha, and Kongad.
The event featured a compelling keynote address by MP V.K. Sreekandan, while AIPC district president Rajeev Ramnath skillfully presided over the proceedings. Ranjit Balan, the State President of AIPC, graced the occasion as the chief guest, and District Congress Committee president A. Thankappan served as the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony.
Engaging sessions were led by prominent speakers including S.S. Lal, Vanitha Joseph, Soya Joseph, and MP V.K. Sreekandan. Their insightful discussions covered crucial themes such as upholding ethics and integrity in political life, fostering positive thinking in governance, advocating for greater women’s representation in leadership roles, and navigating the political journey from local panchayats to the national Parliament.
Abdul Fatah, the event chairman, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, and AIPC district secretary Rahul Vishnu concluded the camp with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
Among the other notable speakers were DCC vice-president Sumech Achuthan, secretary K.C. Preet, Youth Congress district secretary Jayaghosh Akhil Placard, and P. Premnath, former deputy director of prosecution, who shared their valuable perspectives.
