Kochi’s thriving tech landscape is set for a significant boost with the launch of ‘i by Infopark,’ a brand-new, premium co-working space. Located strategically across seven floors (the third to ninth) of the Ernakulam South metro station building, this impressive 48,000 sq.ft. facility is expected to generate approximately 550 new job opportunities within the region.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, October 28, saw Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan officially open the facility. A key moment of the event was the Chief Minister presenting the initial operating certificate to Tony G. Thomas, co-founder of Zoho Corporation, marking their establishment as the first company to commence operations within this state-of-the-art hub.
Designed as a truly plug-and-play environment, ‘i by Infopark’ offers a comprehensive suite of amenities to support modern businesses. It boasts over 580 workstations, versatile event spaces, dedicated training rooms, multiple meeting and conference rooms, comfortable lounges, collaborative discussion areas, private phone booths, and well-equipped pantries. Its prime location near the Ernakulam Junction railway station and the KSRTC bus stand further enhances its appeal as a convenient multi-modal transit hub.
What truly sets ‘i by Infopark’ apart is its pioneering approach to inclusive design. Each of the seven floors has been thoughtfully crafted with a specific sensory focus to create a supportive environment for individuals with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and dyslexia. For instance, the third floor incorporates special wallpapers and tiles to stimulate ‘sight,’ the fourth floor engages ‘taste,’ and the fifth focuses on ‘smell.’ The sixth floor is centered around ‘touch,’ while the remaining three floors (seventh, eighth, and ninth) are designed to enhance the ‘hearing’ experience, making it a uniquely accessible and comfortable workspace for a diverse workforce.
